this is no ordinary bird…it’s a Fernando Botero’s work :)

This video was by Discovery Channel about Singapore

September 28, 2006 - Clouds can be creative too!

September 27, 2006 - bougainvillea

Bougainvillea is a genus of flowering plants native to the tropical and subtropical regions of South America from Brazil west to Peru and south to southern Argentina (Chubut Province). However, we also have it here in Singapore. Maybe they used to be ‘presents’ from these countries :D

at the point of taking this photo today, i chanced upon this particular bracts, which was strangely the one amongst the thousands and millions of chartreuse green leaves (they usually grow alot of bracts)

Zsolt made a video clip with beginning frames of this plant, if you are curious, you are welcome to take a look:)
In it you can also see my very first ‘chasing the sunset’ video captured in April

September 24, 2006 - Achooooooooooo…….!

had a cold since yesterday
not that the weather here is colder
but i guess becos i switched on the fan for the entire night
i’ve used about ten packets of tissue…..

this is an ad i saw in the underground station
it was intentionally spread onto two panels so that the mask ‘fly’ forward to generate the motion
to emphasize how hard this man SNEEEZZZZZZE…….

i love creative ads, do u have any funny or creative ads like this in your country?

Very funny, definitely worth the photo, I love it Zannie ! The fact that they used two ad spaces to achieve it is very creative. Do people still often wear masks ?(I know everyone had them in the bad days when fear of the bird flu was everywhere)…

nathalie,Yes it is a very well communicated ad even including the thought of achieving with two panels. It is ‘to the point’ and effective…

These days only very rare cases we’ll get to see people wearing masks in public. However during the SARS period, masks were even out of stock. Lots of people buy to stock them up (under the ‘kiasu’ mentality)

kaa,

wow, do let me know pls, i would really like to see how the ads are like in your country. And I always wonder how these creative minds come out with it!

macky,

Thanks for your kind regards, you take good care too… i hope it is not too cold now in japan for you

Philip (keropok man),
not really, panadol strong is only a temporary relief and i dun take it cos it will be difficult to flush out of our bodies (ie the side effects). I drank more water and rest more to get better :) Thanks anyway!

Zannie, I liked this one a lot. It made me feel like I was back in a BART station in the San Francisco Bay Area on my way to work. We don’t have electric trains, light rail, or underground here in Seattle. . .Great ad.
