After meeting with KLdp and Keropokman

DSC09617

It’s my first ‘fashion model’ photography;) It was taken before going to meet my friend for dinner. Then thereafter, watched ‘titoudao’ play. It was a great play, I like it! See Edwin’s dp (KL dp) or Keropokman’s dp to see some of our meet up photos in the next few days!:)

posterTitoudao is about the life of a Hokkien street opera actress, Madam Oon Ah Chiam (Stage Name: Titoudao). Set in the 1940s to the present day, it traces Titoudao’s struggles against all odds to become a renowned street opera star in Singapore and Malaysia. A heartwarming play that is poignant yet hilarious, it’s also inspiring. This play about this extraordinary life experience of Madam Oon based on a true story.

AMK HUB

AMK means Ang Mo Kio. I was told there is a story behind why it is called ‘Ang Mo Kio’. Kio in hokkien means ‘bridge’. So AMK means Ang Mo Kio (红毛桥), and meaning “Westerner Bridge”;)

According to wikipedia, the term ang mo (literally “red hair”) is a somewhat derogatory Singlish reference to the people with fair hair who settled from the West and, because such a name might be considered unflattering, it is now written as 宏茂桥 which is pronounced in an almost identical way but means “Bridge of Expansiveness and Prosperity”.

Let the seat to someone who needs it more – Dark Blue Seat

DSC09473

See the darker blue seat? It’s a very good idea! Because maybe during the last Theme Day about what’s annoying in my city, I’ve aired out my frustrations to see people who are selfish or ‘kiasu’ and today, I found this NEW MRT train with new seat design;)

First the interiors of the train cabin is more spacious!:) It’s great!

Then it is the seats been coloured a different deeper colour, and these seats are nearer to the exits. I supposed it’s meant for older people or pregnant woman with young babies, or simply for ‘anyone who needs the seat more than you’! It’s a good move, and this way, kiasu people will not touch these seats (i hope) and keep it more for those who needed it more:)))
