Esplanade

SG4

Panoramic view of the Esplanade… pronounced ess-pla-nard and/or ess-pla-nayde locally, but commonly known as “The Durians” in colloquial terms.

It is the current cultural centre showcase of Singapore.

PS. I Luv U – the slogan for the newly revamped Plaza Singapura almost a decade ago… yet the slogan is so endearing to this day.

Speaking of love, Singaporeans luv to eat good food!

Plaza Singapura

PS1

Revamped almost a decade ago, Plaza Singapura (Malay for Singapore Plaza; aka PS) is one of the longest standing shopping malls in Singapore. Located next to the Istana at the end of the Orchard Road shopping strip, PS is now one of the most crowded malls 7 days a week!

Flowers are blooming:)

DSC09244.JPG

All the flowers along the road are blooming, happily smiling:) This photo was taken on the elevated platform of an MRT Station (at Sembawang). It is very typical of Singapore, to have ”NO something” sign, a old styled bus stop with shelter painted in white and orange. And if you look at the big photo, you can see the seats at the bus stop are intentionally designed facing the bus arrival direction;)
