Durian season

durianstall

For the past two Friday nights, I had been frequenting this durian stall at Chong Pang, Yishun. As a friend knew the stall holder selling durians, we got good deals (small discounts and great tasting durians)!

This is how the “pungent” fruit is sold in SG (and other neighbouring countries)… with bright lights, noise (from sellers with loudhailers) and hustle and bustle.

Dining In

Was at a Crystal Jade Restaurant recently… for some reason the “Dining In” concept caught my eye and we had a super dinner there.  The restaurant is at VivoCity and faces Sentosa (where the demolished Ferry Terminal used to stand).  Food here is pricey but also good.

This photo is just a work of art more than anything else… :)

Sunshine through the rain

sun

Last Friday evening, during the after work peak hour, I chanced upon this sight.  The rain started heavily about an hour ago and there was a breather, enoguh for me to make my way home. It was the beginning of a weekend long of intermittent havey rain spells.

The sun shining through the clouds really caught my eye (pun not intended) when I stopped at the lights.
