This is a photo of the water feature in Changi Airport Terminal 1.  As far as I can remember, this iconic water feature has been there since I was 11 years old… over 20 years at least!  During my first visit to the then new Changi International Airport with the school excursion, the strongest impression I had of that visit was the awesome wonder I had for this water feature… I wondered how the water could fall in such straight lines…. and realized later that there were strings with which the water flowed down nicely.

Over 20 years later, the feature is still in working condition and untouched… perhaps relegated to the recesses of our conscious minds, especially with the advent of the Changi Airport Terminal 3.
