The lift shafts… again designed to allow maximal light transparency. This terminal, compared to the other older terminals probably has quadrupled the number of lifts… a feature that is very appropriate for airport terminals.

These large panels indicate the doorways… 6 altogether. The holes are actually air-conditioning vents. Very brightly lit and yet not glaring… very adequate as signage. You almost cannot get lost in this place!

This is where one would be checking in… the bags appear to be sponsored as they are all similar. It looked as if it was placed as a dummy set-up for the open house.

This is a piece of art that was in the terminal… not sure of the significance, but it sure caught my attention. The floral pattern of the propeller leaves one wondering if it is artistic or functional or both…

As it was only an open house, and not operational yet, the kids had plenty of space to play… no kidding!

One of the entrances into the terminal. If you took a cab, you would enter by this doorway… this is about the most classical portion of the terminal that is reminiscent of the other older terminals of CIA (Changi International Airport).

I wondered if the plates near the ceiling were anything more than design pieces… somehow, it made me feel and think that these panels had something to do with reflecting the light in and heat out! I could be wrong, nonetheless, it was an awesome sight!

This is a roof-ceiling panel that lot in the sky light with minimal heat. By using such designs, one can guess how environmentally friendly this could potentially be, especially in sunny Singapore.

Even the cafe within the terminal was tastefully placed and blended into the “openness” concept so apparent of the whole terminal.

This is the departure hall… in its architecture grandeur. The whole terminal boasts the best architectural designs for function and environmental friendliness. I am no architect but I was impressed by the uniqueness and the thought that went into the designing of the place. By far, the best of all the Changi Airport terminals.

Recently, during the open house for the new Changi Airport Terminal 3, we made a short trip to view the place.

Overall impression was that it was really well designed compared to the previous 2 terminals and this one really takes the cake.
