What a night. The noise was really loud, the speed was incredible and the atmosphere was fantastic as this is the first time a F1 race held in Singapore and first time for an F1 night race in history.
Great experience for me as this is my first time. Really recommend to you all to experience it for those who have not been to a F1 race.
Here are some pics from the F1 final race (on 28Sep08)…
Gentleman start your engines…

Earlier with the Aston Martin Asia Cup race.
Someone forgot to close the door…

Porsche Carrera Cup Asia race starting position…

Early favorite (Lewis) and my team…but he finished 3rd.

Excellent photos! Great quality and color…and looks like a fun time!
Great shots; crisp and clear. Attending an F1 race is certainly a great experience. I attended one in Melbourne a couple of years ago, and several back when the F1 was held in Adelaide.
Sorry, I can’t share your enthusiasm for this kind of thing. Noisy, polluting, and boys wasting one of the world’s most precious resources! I just don’t get it at all….
Thanks everyone.
Sally, it’s a different kind of sport…an expensive sport. You are correct with your statements, but I’m sure there will be some good points coming out of this sport. Tourism, research for better fuel, etc…
Wow…great pictures….i wish I could go. The camera must be really fast to capture that. Mine is a “mickey mouse” camera…I think I can only take faint colors of the cars zooming by! haha…
Hi Ren,
Thanks. My camera (Canon 5D) is middle of the range and only can take <5fps. For really nice pics you need those 10+fps professional camera (eg Canon 1Ds type) with fast telephoto zoom (e.g 300-400 F2.8) and ideally inside the fence which required media access.
Sometime, faint colors shots shows the speed of the subject
Thanks for the tip. But really…I stumbled upon your site and I think you’ve got great photos here. If you don’t mind, ok for me to link some of my posts back to your site? Cheers!
Sure.
Cheers.
