West Mall shopping centre
This is the local shopping mall called “West Mall” and is situated in the west of Singapore called Bukit Batok. Lot’s of shops, cinema, food courts & things to do inside for the local community.

Nice BMW 35i
Saw this in my neighbourhood and looks gorgeous. It’s the new BMW 35i…which cost a bomb here in Singapore and person living in the HDB estate. Th car probably cost around same price as his home.

Runners
There was this run event in CBD this evening around 6pm. Anyone know the event name?

Rice Dumpling
Very popular amoung locals here are these types of rice dumpling. This photo was taken at a foodcourt. There are many types of fillings inside the rice dumpling. You can get these from most eating place and its steaming hot and ready to eat on the spot….yummy.

Lift Upgrading
A very popular site that most Singaporean will have seen. This is the lift upgrading programe provided by the local council. As older lifts only serve at various levels (e.g 1, 4, 8, etc..) the new type of lift is a welcome site as it is clean, faster, can see thru opening in the doors (for safety), and most importantly stop at every floor.
This is just started at my block and expected to complete in early 2010. So expect lots of noise, dirts and inconvenient of having only one lift to service all floors.

New LTR/MRT tracks
One of many new LRT/MRT tracks being built in the CBD area to cater for public transport. This one is next to One Raffles Quay.

Construction site @ Lau Pa Sat
This huge construction job is right in the middle of CBD and the noise and dust can be quite annoying when you are having lunch at the next door open food court at Lapasat Lau Pa Sat.

ION entrance @ Orchard Rd
Artist impression of the whole building..

Completed so far.. and it is linked to the Orchard MRT station.

Roof top suntan
Some guess in this service apartment can really enjoy the view of CBD…or should i said some workers enjoy the suntaners.

Satay street
Ingredients prepared and are ready for the hot fire for the evening crowds and the street will be blocked from traffic everyday after 5pm.

Satay cooking
This is the hot fire preparation for Satay cooking.
From Wikipedia – Satay (or sate) is a dish consisting of chunks or slices of dice-sized meat (chicken, mutton, beef, pork, fish, etc.) on bamboo skewers. These are grilled or barbecued over a wood or charcoal fire, then served with various spicy seasonings.

Roti Prata
The correct answer is (C) Roti Prata.
Congratulations to those who guessed it right

For those want to try nice Roti Prata in CBD can go to Suntec City food junction. The shop name is called “What You Do Prata”…funny name. The service & food taste is great and the cookers are very friendly (see pics below). Cost is $1.20 (plain prata) or $1.80 (egg prata).
