It is always amazing how recycle materials could be made into something so nice and colorful for us to be captured.

Happy Valentine’s Day to all of us!!
Notice anything special about the flowers in the above photo??
The flower petals are actually gloves!! Quite cool effect huh? heeezz

This display shows 2 children flying a kite. I’m quite puzzled as in a sense that i’m not able to link flying kite with Chinese New Year itself.
Does anyone have any explanation for that??

This is the group that won the 2nd price for the display. The whole setup despite being a bit complicated does have a lively and festive feel.

On first look you might think that the animal is a pig, but in actual fact, it is a cow!! I guessed we are too used to seeing displays of pigs
Did you notice the 2 flower pots on the right?? The happy expression does brightens up my mood.

This is another project which i feel has the most Chinese New Year feel and mood being assosciated with it. This is a giant brush writing the chinese word for spring on a piece of red paper.

At the flower festival, there is a section on the beach whereby they showcase different groups of people’s project. All of them have fit the Chinese New Year theme and the materials used have to be of recycle materials. As you can see from the aboves, all the materials are plastic.

If the whole carnival only have flowers, then how much fun can there be??
Of course we need “walking” flowers to provide some entertainment as well as makes all little children laugh!!

This is one of the few display at the entrance of the whole display carnival. It does look like a gigantic basket of flowers

This is another display on the beach which i personally like a lot. It sets me thinking that how nice it would be to have a house with a huge garden with this setup! That would defintely brightens up anyone’s day easily.

For this year of the Sentosa Flowers, the display stretch all the way to the beach. Different flower displays are setup along the beach and the above setup caught my attention. Look at the flowers being arranged to form the ice block and the sea-lions…. so nice!!

This is the Valentine’s Day theme display at the Sentosa Flowers 2009. The mood for this is really well setup, which i love a lot. Lots of people are queuing up to take photos with this display!! I had to wait for that split seconds between the people moving in order to take a clear shot.

The above shot is from Sentosa FLowers and is cater for the Chinese New Year festive mood as well. Look at how happy the cow(this year is the year of the cow) family are. A lot of people are queuing up at this area to take photos with it.
