This is the night time construction work at Ocean Financial Centre building.

Another update on the highrise building that is rising fast and filling the Singapore skyscraper. The foreground is the glassy high rise Ocean Financial Centre building in the heart of CBD.

These shop houses along the street of Boat Quay area retains the old charms that used to be part of Singapore river.

This is the current aerial view of the ever changing scene at Marina Bay area. In the background is the giant Marina Bay Sands building structures (with the skybridge currently putting into place) and the foreground is the Marina Promenade.

Yesterday (02Oct09) was the hoisting of the first skybridge structure of Marina Bay Sands.
According to Zaobao newspaper, at 5:30am, the first skybridge segment(330t) of the Skypark was lifted slowly, it took about half day for the strand jack to lift it up to the 55 floors of the hotel’s rooftop. The construction of the skypark required 14 segments of the skybridges weighted total of 7000T of steel structure. Estimated hoisting duration is about 3 months for the whole process. Each hoist estimated about 24 hours.

There are lots of different type & flavor of Mooncakes available. Here are traditional as well as more special type like ice cream flavor, alcohol and Japanese style, etc….
Cost is very reasonable…ranging from $30 to $45 for a box of 4 large moon cakes.
