I was SURE you’d do Change Alley. (If it’s still there, of course)
This is the most glorious of curves with such sensuous lighting. Change Alley is an inadequate name for such a beauty, although it is wonderful for our Theme Day,
May I wish you all the very best as we journey into twenty ten.
What an engineering feat and extraordinary design. Hope you get to see it in person soon. (How different from the Chain Bridge in Budapest.)
Hi jb, Julie, slim,
This bridge is called Henderson Waves. It is 274 metre-long pedestrian bridge and it spans Henderson Road to connect Mount Faber Park to Telok Blangah Hill Park. At 36m above Henderson Road, Henderson Waves is the highest pedestrian bridge in Singapore.
I love its distinctive wave-like structure consisting of a series of undulating curved “ribs”. These “ribs” also double up as alcoves providing shelter to the public.
