Singapore open the doors of its second casino on Tuesday 27Apr, giving a fresh boost to the city’s tourism sector and playground for the world’s high-rollers.

The US$5.5 billion Marina Bay Sands, built by US gaming giant Las Vegas Sands, opened at the locally auspicious time of 3.18pm (0718 GMT). The number eight sounds like the word for prosperity in Chinese.

Singapore Cruise Centre is located just across Sentosa Island, one of the region’s premier island resorts. Many passengers pass through the Singapore Cruise Centre on their way to fascinating destinations in the region to get away for a few days.

We took this “Cruise To Nowhere” last Friday evening in which the cruise depart and return to Singapore without disembarking the ship for 3 days. It’s a popular trip for the locals & foreign tourists to get away for a few days. Many activities on this Virgo cruise including live entertaining shows for the kids & adults. Most adults do visit the many casino rooms to try their luck :-)

If you are visiting Singapore, do hop on many of the cruises that are available. If you do stay in the room with the balcony, you will experience the breathtaking view of the sea.

Green T3 airport

One of the few green airport i come accross is the T3 Changi airport. Like other new airports in the region, it has a structure mainly made of glass, with big transparent spaces inside the terminal. However, unlike these newer airports, it incorporates “natural” features (e.g plants, trees, wood like cladding & floors) and “warm” tone extensively to balance the sterile feel of glass and steel.
